Brooklands Museum – a registered charity which protects and restores the heritage of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed at Weybridge, Surrey in 1907. It was much more than a great sporting arena; Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century.
Event promotion for ‘The Brooklands Double Twelve’ Motoring Festival
Limelight were engaged ten weeks before the motoring festival to increase awareness of the museum and to promote the event through the mediums of local advertising, leaflet distribution to local businesses and attractions, competitions and PR campaigns. Our assistance continued at the event itself where we co-ordinated the press and carried out photography for use in the post event PR and for use to promote the 2011 event the following year. Whilst promoting the festival, we were also able to make introductions to the museum with other local businesses and attractions.
Limelight Marketing offer discounted services to all charities, and we continue to work with Brooklands Museum for their design and photography requirements.
Impossibly short timescales and a disappearing small budget seemed to be just minor inconveniences to Limelight on this project. Despite those limitations, Karen threw herself into every aspect of promotion (and more), leaving us with a much higher public profile for the event than we could have dared hope for - and a superb photographic record of the entire event as well. Her ability to identify so closely with the Client's needs, and willingness to go the extra mile, really stood out.....
